I am running for the Wyoming State legislature, House District 46. Wyoming currently is enjoying a measure of prosperity but we have many issues which need attention. As your State legislator I will work to ensure efficient management of our revenues, protection of our quality environment and access to health care for all citizens of Wyoming. We can foster community development and conserve our natural resources only by working together. My wife, Nancy Stanton, and I lived in Albany County for 36 years and our two children, Garth and Meg, were born and raised here. Nancy passed away in March, 2008 but was strongly supportive of my interest in legislative service because we both were raised in Wyoming and care deeply about its people and the land.
The Need For Public Revenue - Albany County has the lowest per capita public revenue of all 23 Wyoming counties. We cannot continue to do more with less. I will sponsor legislation to more equitably distribute State revenues — now not later.

Economic Development - We need more good- paying jobs with benefits, more jobs of all types and part-time jobs. I will work to expand and diversify the economy, but on our terms.
The Environment - I have extensive experience with natural resource issues and want to use my skills to maintain multiple-use on our public lands while maintaining a quality environment.
Health Care -
The State of Wyoming should pass legislation ensuring access to affordable health care for every Wyoming resident until a national policy on health care is adopted.
Cost Of Living Allowances (COLAs) -
All members of the Wyoming State Retirement System should be guaranteed a minimum COLA of three (3) percent per year.
